Israel’s government has officially entered settler speedrun mode, using “Hamas” as the universal excuse for every land grab. Military occupation? Hamas. More settlements? Hamas. Stealing an entire region? You guessed it—Hamas.

And just like that, the so-called “war on terror” turns into the oldest trick in the colonialism playbook: Start with “temporary security measures,” end with “Oops, this is ours now.”
